Mr. Payne was a founding board member of the Carolina's Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; a Past President of the South Carolina Chapter of NAELA; and a Charter Member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners. Mr. Payne is a past Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the South Carolina Bar, and is a frequent lecturer on Elder Law, Medicaid, Public Benefits, Asset Protection, and the rights of senior citizens and those with disabilities.
